Southern Regional Paso Fino Horse Association is located in Central Florida with over 600 members. We are one of the oldest Florida based regions and the 3rd largest region in the Paso Fino Horse Association. Our objectives, purposes and goals are to sustain, enhance, improve, cultivate and protect the breeding, bloodlines, character and heritage of the Paso Fino breed: to educate, instruct, inform, enlighten and interest people in proper methods of Paso Fino horse riding techniques and to maintain the breed standards as well as promoting the breed, while having fun and celebrating the Paso Fino Horse. Currently we sponsor four shows and two youth shows a year, one of which is our Extravaganza Show which is celebrating its 22nd anniversary. This show has become one of the largest Paso Fino Shows with over 1,600 entries and has a reputation for bringing in many visitors from across the United States, Canada, Colombia, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Europe. In addition to our shows, Southern Regional is very active promoting our breed at parades and equestrian events and is a proud sponsor of the Florida Horse Park, see www.flhorsepark.com Southern Regional holds six membership meetings, clinics and fun shows as well as trail rides each year. We are a fun loving group who love to enjoy our horses. SRPFHA is located in the area of Ocala, Florida – the “Horse Capital of the World”. The importance of our Region is denoted by the presence of the foremost stallions of our breed, renowned trainers and training centers and some of the largest breeding operations of Paso Fino horses. In fact, North Central and Central Florida, has the largest population of Paso Fino horses and more Paso Fino foals are produced here than anywhere else in the country. Southern Regional Paso Fino Horse Association, in cooperation with the Florida Thoroughbred Owners & Breeders Association and Florida Equine Publications Inc., (Horse Capital Digest) has produced the first Paso Fino Farm Directory and Map of North Central Florida that identifies 95 Paso Fino Farms in the Horse Capital of the World! This is a beautiful map-styled farm directory which includes an in depth trail section describing the Cross Florida Greenway trail system in and around Ocala, Florida. The Paso Fino farms are located on the map as well as listed on the backside with full contact information for each farm. A buyer’s guide is also provided as a primer for those new to the breed
