Paso Fino Horse World Mission
Paso Fino Horse World is the official publication of the Paso Fino Horse Association. It is a magazine devoted to
the Paso Fino equine breed and its owners. The focus of the publication is to serve as a communications venue
for the Paso Fino Horse Association. Paso Fino Horse World features editorials, news and breed articles geared
towards educating and informing its membership, generating interest from potential new breed enthusiasts, and
furnishing advertising opportunities to the membership, subscribers and national vendors.

Paso Fino Horse World makes a reasonable attempt to verify advertising claims, but assumes no
responsibility for the truth or accuracy of any advertisement.
ADVERTISING SPECIFICATIONS
File Formats (Image and Ad)
Image and display ad files should be formatted as high resolution (300 DPI) JPG, EPS, TIFF or PDF
formats Advertising files in Microsoft Publisher, PowerPoint, Word, WordPerfect or any other word
processing type format are not acceptable.
EDITORIAL POLICY
Photos and manuscripts are welcomed, but are not the responsibility of Paso Fino Horse Association
(PFHA) while in transit or in their possession. All manuscript materials are to be submitted for
consideration of publication only, with no guarantee, expressed or implied. Paso Fino Horse World
reserves the right to refuse any advertising, photos or manuscripts, that it feels is not in the best
interest of the membership of the Paso Fino Horse Association, Inc.
LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Letters for publication in Paso Fino Horse World are welcomed. Letters should be received at the
Association office at least eight (8) weeks prior to the next available publication date. Letters
exceeding 300 words may be condensed, at the discretion of the publisher, to meet available space.
Letters containing defamatory, libelous or malicious statements will not be published. Letters representing
attacks upon another, or attempts to demean any person(s), agency(s), association(s) or committee(s)
associated with the PFHA will not be published. Any such letters will be forwarded to the appropriate
committee(s)/person(s) involved. Anonymous submissions of any sort will not be published.
INVITATION FOR EDITORIAL SUBMISSIONS
Paso Fino Horse World welcomes your articles, news and photographs. Having your work featured in
Paso Fino Horse World is an excellent way to share your valuable knowledge and experiences with others.
Editorial submissions should focus on a topic pertaining to the Paso Fino breed, whether in equine health,
training, human interest, news and/or events of interest to the whole of the membership. Paso Fino Horse
World readers include amateur horse owners, professional trainers, local and national equine businesses and
prospective horse owners.
EDITORIAL SPECIFICATIONS
Text must be provided in a word processing file with Microsoft Word the preferred format. If an image
is to accompany text, all images must be sent separately from the word processing file and not embedded
in the document. We cannot accept faxed or hard copy (on paper) editorial for publishing or files in Microsoft
Publisher, PowerPoint or Microsoft Works.
IMAGE AND PHOTOGRAPH GUIDELINES
Photos should include the name of any people and/or horses, the owner of the horse (where applicable),
the venue/location of the photograph and the date on which it was taken if known. If you are submitting
a photo for publication and you are not the photographer, if photo is by a professional photographer, a
release and credit is requested. Photographs may be cropped or edited at the editor's discretion. The use
of photos once submitted can be reused or reprinted by Paso Fino Horse World and PFHA in the future.
IMAGE SPECIFICATIONS
High quality digital photographs and scans of high-resolution photos are preferred, which must be of the
original size (i.e. 100 to 110%), 300 DPI, and in JPG, EPS, TIFF or PDF format. Emailed images must be
sent as an attachment rather than embedded in the e-mail message or word processing document. Electronic
submissions (e-mailed) must include a detailed SUBJECT line that clearly identifies the subject, such as
article name, that each photo submission is to match.
RETURN OF MATERIALS
Photos can be returned only when accompanied by a self-addressed, sufficient postage-paid (stamped) return
envelope.
EDITORIAL AND PHOTOGRAPHY COMPENSATION
Authors and contributors of editorial and photographic submissions must not seek personal or professional
benefits, gain and/or exposure in return. Published submissions are non-compensatory, on volunteer basis
and with the understanding that content is to assist in educating, informing and sharing knowledge with all
PFHA member and non-member readers. The use of editorial content and photos once submitted guarantees
permission to Paso Fino Horse World and the Paso Fino Horse Association to publish, reuse or reprint in the
Paso Fino Horse World magazine and any Web site related to the magazine and PFHA in the future. You do not
need be a PFHA member to submit material for publication consideration. If you are published, you may request a
complimentary copy of that issue by contacting the editor of Paso Fino Horse World prior to that issue's mailing.
